The Wizard of Oz at Sphere will transport audiences, making them feel like they have stepped inside the film and are traveling down the yellow brick road with Dorothy and her friends. The experience will fill Sphere’s 160,000 sq. ft. interior display plane, which wraps up, over and around the audience to create a fully immersive visual environment.
To take advantage of Sphere Immersive Sound’s 167,000 programmable speakers, and ability to direct sound anywhere in the venue, the original film’s score was re-recorded to take on new clarity. Multi-sensory 4D elements will be combined and leveraged for maximum impact to make audiences feel like they are in the experience alongside the characters, such as high-velocity wind arrays, atmospheric fog, towering fire bursts, bubbles, and infrasound haptic seats.
By submitting a bid, you are participating in an auction in which all proceeds go to HopeLink of Southern Nevada. The highest bidder of each auction will be deemed the winner and then be contacted to submit the full donation amount to HopeLink of Southern Nevada within twenty-four (24) hours of the auction’s close. Failure to provide payment within the stated timeframe will result in forfeiture of the winning bid, and the auction organizer reserves the right to offer the item to the next highest bidder or re-auction the item at their discretion. Ownership and possession of the item will transfer only after payment has cleared (typically 3–5 business days). Once cleared, winners will be emailed ticket vouchers with instructions on how to redeem them for event tickets. All winning bids are binding and final; no refunds, cancellations, or exchanges of donations will be permitted.
